Before design starts
- Why rebrand now? (growth, merger, new audience, outdated equity)
- What must stay recognisable for existing communities?
- Competitive set and verbal territory — how you sound, not only how you look
Identity package
- Logo system: primary, wordmark, lockups, clear-space rules
- Colour, typography, and imagery direction (in-game vs marketing)
- Motion principles if you use video and stingers heavily
Rollout
- Social avatars, banners, and templates for staff
- Streamer / partner kits where relevant
- Website and email signatures in the same sprint where possible
